It's been a while!

So recap. All this bad miasma Heartless stuff I've read of. Who did it this time?

EDIT: BY THE WAY I WAS READING SOME OLD STUFF and saw the part where Terra kind of flipped out at everyone. Look me and Xemnas up on Youtube sometime.

I was right, Seph is the teacher from Hell. He thinks I'm exaggerating. >.>; We're a little busy for too much of that anyway...

We're pretty sure Roxas isn't here. So we're gonna go look somewhere else.

I'm tired and I'm gonna take a nap before we leave... Maybe I'll see if I can get Seph to learn how to pilot later.

I am curious about Dark Corridors.

I understand that darkness is necessary for their use but, not much beyond that. He never thought much of them. Whether he couldn't use them or just chose not to isn't a memory I retained.

Hey Calum.

Got a question for you.

So, we've got the rest of the cure.

The trip back to my ship was uneventful.

I'm heading to Disney Castle first. Then I think I'll go make sure Yen Sid and a few others aren't sick and give them some of the cure just in case.

This could take a while.

Ash, I am pleased to announce that your Potion-tov Cocktail idea seems to be a smashing success out here. And let me tell you, not having to get in close enough for these things to bite and/or scratch you is fabulous. I've no great desire to find out if whatever's causing this can be transmitted that way.

So, how's the fight going outside of Ivalice, hmm?
[identity profile] ariakitsune.livejournal.com
...

There are not supposed to be zombies in this area. There were no zombies the previous two times I was through here. At least they're slow.

Anyway, I managed to find a closer spot to leave my ship this time. Probably only saved about a day.

So, yeah. Next stop, the Feywood and big Behemoth of Doom.

@.@

So I made good time getting back to where I left my ship. Didn't stop unless I absolutely had to. Learned the hard way how to use Aero offensively. I hate Wild Saurians.

Fox and Ren stayed at Mt. Bur-Omisace. It probably wasn't the best idea to go by myself but, I made better time without them.

Anyway, I'm at my ship.

Is there anyone else that can help with the Behemoth of doom? I doubt it's going to move out of the way anytime soon.

Help?

So, we're almost to the place to get one of the ingredients we need...

Just one problem, a big Behemoth of doom is in the way... more specifically the King Behemoth.

So... Help?!

So... it's fair to say we located a cure. The Vierra can make one. But... they don't happen to have all of the ingredients on hand at the moment. So, we get to go on a fetch quest. Most of the items needed are close to their village We've actually got a lot of it already, but we have to go into a dangerous area for one or two of them. Er, specifically, for anyone familiar with Ivalice, we have to go to that Behemoth infested area near Giruvagen. We need a fruit from one of those five Mandragora creatures that hangs out there.

So... maybe a little help would be needed. We're heading in anyway, though. We'll try to avoid the Behemoths as much as possible.

So... we've have reached our destination and spoken to a few people around. All of them said the Gran Kiltias may have our answer. So we went and asked.

As it turns out, this world has seen this illness before and the Vierra can make a cure for it.

Of course, we need a way to get to them. Their village is hidden by strong magic wards that only a Vierra can break and the one that spends her time here is... not so friendly with humans.

By some odd luck, we met up with a certain someone who can help. So... it's back into Golmore Jungle...

I'll give you guys another update when we get there...

((OoC: Moving right along... :|))

Well... we're off. We were not lucky enough to get a caravan, so... this going to suck. I spent a lot of cash stocking up on Potions and Ethers. I also bought a couple of Elixirs and other supplies.

After a little explaining and begging, Hurdy gave us a discount on the Chocobo rentals.

So... we left about noonish. Anyone we've asked says it's a two day ride before we get to Giza Plains and it's the Rain there so... if the game is true to real life, we'll have to watch out for Elementals. Elementals are nasty powerful and hate seeing other creatures use magic.

This is going to suck.

Ow... Did you know that falling off a Chocobo hurts?

I figured if we're going to be taking a long trip, learning how to ride a Chocobo couldn't hurt... I was wrong. It hurts. A lot. And damn it all if the bird wasn't laughing at me as much as the Moogle who was trying to teach me.

Aria, you had better not have pictures.

That's not to say I didn't eventually start to get the hang of it, but... Ow...

That and Chocobos really do smell...

So... Ivalice. And my damn teleporter put me down in the desert just east of Rabanastre and right in front of a damn Wild Saurian. A hungry Wild Saurian.

I didn't think I could run that fast.

No, I'm not going into more detail. And no I didn't need a change of underwear.

Anyway, I'm here and somehow still in one piece. That was about noonish, by the way. So... I figured asking a healer was probably the best start on this search. I was right. They've heard of such an illness, but haven't dealt with it themselves. They suggested that I can find more information elsewhere. I think I'll wait here until Aria and Ren get here, though. The inns are reasonably priced and if I really need any cash that bad I could probably take on some odd jobs or a even a hunt off the board. If I'm going to be searching around on this world, I'm not doing it alone. I also don't want to get wrapped up in the events that may happen here, so traveling with characters we know of if we don't need to would be a bad idea.

At any rate, one healer I asked suggested Mt. Bur-Omisace. That's... a long trip if I remember correctly. South through Giza Plains, into Ozmone plains, on to Golmore Jungle and through Paramina Rift. I did return to my ship to see if I could just go there, but I couldn't. Not without bringing the ship down and I'd rather leave it in orbit right now. If the same monsters are found in these places IRL as in FF12, it's going to be a rough trip. Especially given that there are some dragonish creatures in the Rift, along with a lot of undead. And we really don't want to end up taking a wrong turn into the Feywood.

Hmm... Maybe, if we're lucky, we can catch one of the pilgrim caravans that head up to the mountain sometimes...
[identity profile] ariakitsune.livejournal.com
Snow in the desert is certainly an interesting sight.

...

Ugh. Why do I keep having dreams with a certain Creepy Son of a Bitch in them? As far as I know he's not around anymore. This is getting ridiculous.

At least I'm not losing sleep because of it. Though I prefer frightening dreams to no dreams at all.

-_-;

I don't know what to do with myself lately... I should probably go somewhere to learn some more magic but, I can't seem to work up the motivation to actually do it.
[identity profile] ariakitsune.livejournal.com
O///O;
[identity profile] remliel.livejournal.com
Okay, I've put together a more robust design for the enchanted holding systems. They shouldn't fail catastrophically now in case the fabric of magic suddenly stops working again (thanks Mim).

Incidentally, this also means that they won't explode if you take them into Jagd or an antimagic zone or some asshole drops a dispel on it. You just won't be able to access the space.

We'll be stopping back in Radiant Garden soon. While I'm there, I'll fix anyone's items who are there. Just send your good there if you happen to be offsite and I'll get to them when possible.

Meanwhile, I've been developing some more little tricks with timespace manipulation. It's fascinating, really. Nothing huge, but there's so many COOL things to do...

How's the job board at Radiant Garden looking? I heard it's getting pretty full. Research doesn't pay for itself, and I'm thinking of getting Aya to move to some new pastures. Ivalice is cool, but I think we've made enough of an impression on the Archadian air force for now...
[identity profile] ryuuzoku-aya.livejournal.com
Man, is it just me or are Ryan, Zero and I the only people that are doing fine right now? Seriously, it's just business as usual (okay a little more business as usual but I can't say I don't mind the extra money here) and nothing else freaky-deaky happening.

Hell, no sign of "Keffers" either.
[identity profile] remliel.livejournal.com
This is getting irritating. This upswing in monster activity is cramping my style, especially since my weapon is sealed away right now and I STILL can't use magic. At least Aya has the Spine back despite the fact that it sliced her. :\

Okay, there's got to be some kind of commonality going on here. It's not a general migration from FF worlds, or Ivalice would have LESS monsters, not more. Therefore, the monsters are probably coming from a single world or at most, a small subsection.

But which one? They share so many species among them. There's got to be enough sightings where we can narrow it down though. I KNOW Garms didn't show up in every FF, for example...

Argh! Not enough information! We need to keep an eye out, maybe someone can locate the monster's methods of arrival so we can get an idea on how to track them back to the source.
