Ow... Did you know that falling off a Chocobo hurts?

I figured if we're going to be taking a long trip, learning how to ride a Chocobo couldn't hurt... I was wrong. It hurts. A lot. And damn it all if the bird wasn't laughing at me as much as the Moogle who was trying to teach me.

Aria, you had better not have pictures.

That's not to say I didn't eventually start to get the hang of it, but... Ow...

That and Chocobos really do smell...

If I wasn't so sick, I'd be jealous. Back on Earth I used to do a lot of horseback riding, I wonder if there's some similar tips and tricks to ride a chocobo...or if it's a completely different (pardon the pun) beast.

I know crap about horseback riding, so I don't know what might be similar and what might be different.

I dunno. Do horses laugh at you when you fall off?

Do they really? Well at least the pointers I can give you from horseback riding is to try using English equestian principles. Back straight, heels down, etc.

Well, at least you made more of an effort than me. I was too busy being afraid that I'd get thrown off that I barely made any progress. I'm sure there's a lesson in that: if the Chocobo knows you're nervous, it'll get nervous too, and then you'll never get anywhere, right?

Easier said than done. ^^;

Yeah, they do seem to be a little more skittish if you seem nervous...

They do seem to be a little more patient with you if you give some greens first.
