So what's this I hear about nightmares? I haven't had a single bad dream in months.

...Well. There was that one of Barbosa dancing around in a monkey suit. Although I think anyone would suitably terrified by that.

Anyway, hi guys. Like Ray said, we're still alive. Quite enjoying living it up as a pirate and playing gotta steal them all. Definitely beats bumming around town any day.
[identity profile] seolearo.livejournal.com
What's all this about a nightmare epidemic, now? There's nothing interesting even going on around here anymore, unless you count the Nobody from way back and who even knows what happened to her anyway. You'd think it'd be Ari and me suffering nightmares, with the shit we've been through lately. And I don't know about her, but I haven't had any hint of one. Epic battle dreams, yes, but those are totally normal and not actually nightmarish at all!

The only reason I can think that anyone here would have any problems with dreams are the Dark Terrorists, but from how what's-her-name acted before, I doubt it was her because why would she go after Eli? So I'm thinking it's Medrau. The why is still up in the air, though. Maleficent must be up to something again, but I'm betting you guys would know that better than me.

But yeah! I figured one of us should check in sometime this century. We're still alive and have everything completely under control! Disregard the angry pirates that may or may not be after our blood ships. Ari and I are simply peachy.

How's life going for you guys, nightmares notwithstanding? Who else is up to shenanigans~?

[When the message starts, there are sounds (waves, timbers creaking, etc.) that make it obvious that our favorite brat is aboard a ship. When he speaks, he's keeping his voice low.]

So, uh... I got off the Cars world. Actually, I got off that world a while ago yay, Keyblade Glider, but the lanes are just as messed up with Heartless as Gummi Space. I landed in Port Royal about... three days ago. I think. And--

[He shut up immediately at the sound of heavy foots steps on the deck and waits a moment before going on.]

I'm not in the town of Port Royal, just on the same world. Landed in Tortuga of all places... And... well...

[Here, he sighs. Clearly, he wishes he'd just dealt with the Heartless a little longer and landed on a different world.]

Does anyone know anything about a ship called 'The Queen Anne's Revenge'? Actually, let me clarify that. Does anyone know anything about this ship besides the fact that the captain uses some freaky ass voodoo to keep his crew in line?

We got the Aero crystal. It took a bit of a wild goose chase, but we got it.

So when are we doing this thing?

I need a ride out of here. Like. Now.

I had convinced an innkeeper here to give me a room for a few days in return for some work... but the man has a habit of entering rooms without knocking (although he might have forgtten which room he set me up in) and he saw me using magic to light a candle. Cue the witch hunt.

So, yeah. The sooner someone can get me out of here, the better. Not really fun having a whole town full of thieves, pirates and general thugs trying to kill you.

Why am I not surprised?

This is just perfect. If my guess is right... this is Tortuga? Lovely.

Magic would likely run me into some trouble... So would the Keyblade...

Ideas?

Everyone?

Be careful. There's a lot of darkness surrounding this world...
[identity profile] lovely-fatale.livejournal.com
You have very little time to claim the girl.

We will be waiting at world's end.
[identity profile] menocrede.livejournal.com
Imagine that.

Looks like you children have a bit of a problem on your hands.
[identity profile] nachtstar.livejournal.com
Made it to Tortuga.

Feels like we've been at sea for ever. Kinda understand why Jack has that rather drunken looking walk.
Not to mention I don't want to drink smell rum for a good long while.

Soon as we finish up what little last second things we're getting done here, we're on our way out.
Gonna miss our crew but they'll be okay.
[identity profile] menocrede.livejournal.com
how's that joke go? A guy tells his friend to "cheer up - things could get be worse". So the friend cheered up, and sure enough, things got worse.

I'm not sure how much Calum knows about this whole world-illness thing or the earthquakes or the odd weather, but I'll check to see if I can learn anything. See, having MPD can be a good thing every once and awhile.

I guess this would be where I'd put in a Ryune- or Brandon-esque pep talk here. But I'll just leave this ( http://xkcd.com/544/ ) right here instead.

Heading to Tortuga.

Lost valuable members of our crew in that storm. Ship got battered. Still working on repairs as we go. Everyone's doing twice the amount of work they should.

We're all so tired.

Found letters before we left. Will have to deliver one to Ren somehow. Other will have to be looked into.

Will try to go home soon. Can't stay here forever. Might have to go to Radiant Garden before Twilight. Get better, guys.

[When Ray wakes up, she'll find a yellow envelope outside her room containing a detailed report on the strange weather and monster attacks, as well as a number of other strange phenominon on fifteen Worlds beyond the rings the Refugee's are used to visiting. It also includes a detailed description of a certain artifact she is interested in, and an envelope addressed to Ren.

Inside that is a picture of a man in a Organization cloak, his face obscured by the hood, standing next to a Minotaur. Close inspection reveals the man is giving the Minotaur rabbit ears.

The return address is:
Santa.]

[the laptop is at a weird angle on the table, as if it is half-hidden under something. Josiah is writing something on a piece of paper, though at the angle the laptop is sitting at, its hard to make out the words. He is idly flipping an intricate-looking gold coin in his hand. The sounds of drunken, riotous laughter and conversation are heard, but they seem to be a distance away.]

[there's a pause in the writing as a shadow appears over the table. Josiah doesn't even look up, but asks in Calum's accent] Can I help you?

[another pause, followed by the telltale click of a pistol's hammer being pulled back. Calum only laughs quietly, though there's no amusement in the tone] Do you really want to do that?

[The person says something, but it's said so quietly that the laptop doesn't pick it up. Calum only raises an eyebrow] Oh really now. How convenient for you. [gestures quickly and there's a startled gasp, followed by the gun going off, and then silence, despite the commotion still going on in the background] I don't have time for your games, sir. [takes one more glance at the paper he had been writing on, and frowns] Yes, that should work.

[flips the coin one more time and pockets it before glancing curiously at the laptop. He reaches over, and then the recording goes dead]

[Ari appears, dressed in a rather ragged looking cotton top and vest, supporting a rather wicked looking black-and-blue on her face and other smaller cuts and bruises. She waves for a second, giving a rather tired smile. Behind her are muffled shouts from the rest of the crew but unseen with her hiding being in the cabin room]

Hi guys. Just letting you know me and Ray are ....pretty okay. A sudden freak storm caught us by surprise like I told Aria and left us doing a rather good impression of fighting-for-your-life-out-on-sea but nothing too horribly bad
. [she touches her face here, making a slight face] Even if it did feel like the ship was beating us up.

But you don't need to worry. We're alive and mobile, no too bad of injuries that a potion won't cure and the ship isn't sinking yet.

[her expressions a bit distant and sad at that as she waves at the screen, although she's smiling] So yeah! We'll be back soon. Don't have too much fun without us.
[identity profile] seolearo.livejournal.com
[It turns on to desperate shouts, loud cracks of thunder, and howling wind. Ray yells something unintelligible and is met with more shouts from the crew members as water crashes against the ship.]

Dammit! Fucking storm came out of nowhe--

[Her words turn into a surprised yelp. There is a small crashing noise.]

John, look ou--!

[She stops again, breathing heavily. She's talking to herself when she speaks again.]

That's the third since this started...

Ari! Another one off the starboard side!

...Damn it. I don't know how we'll make it in this kind of--

[She's cut off as a wave hits. When it's gone, she's left choking on sea water and unable to speak for a while. When she does talk again, her voice is very strained.]

We should have... expected this... shouldn't we? Things were going so smoothly 'til now...

[A warning yell sounds. A grating sound is heard, and the audio is cut off to the sound of another wave crashes into the ship, people screaming as the water tears them away from the deck.]

loving Tortuga so far.

I stopped keeping track of how many fights have been started here - mainly due to a certain ghost pirate who will not be named. Considering that I've had a sword at my throat or a gun pointed at my head at least a dozen times since I've been here, I should be used to it by now.

I'll hand it to him though - the guy can throw down in a fight. Without using magic. (I'm trying to figure out if I should be more concerned about than I am... probably).

how's everyone else on the other side of the multiverse?
[identity profile] menocrede.livejournal.com
Perhaps a truce is in order. I have the feeling that my actions in the past have set some of you on edge.
[identity profile] menocrede.livejournal.com
It's the strangest sense of deja vu, being here. I expected it, but it's still odd.

And I keep looking for a tempest - yeah, it makes no sense.
