It's a three-day flight to Destiny Islands without a warp gummi, and I was supposed to be there by the 20th.

don't see that happening now.

I'm too sentimental anyway. It shouldn't matter. It's not like he's going to be there. I shouldn't even want to go to that beach alone.

Well, yes, but if they happened to come now at least they'd have a couple days to fry undead critters before they fell too sick to fight.
and while I wouldn't like them being sick, I like zombies even less.

And I supervised the fortification of the castle. We're holding our own quite well, I assure you. It's just... not as easy as it would be if those of us with magic were at peak fighting condition.

Excuse. I'll bet anything that any given Radiant Garden citizen won't let that keep them from keeping their home and loved ones safe, even though that illness might sap them of everything they've got but their will. I'll bet anything that they won't let that keep them from doing what they believe they need to for that place, even if it means death. And if I remember right, you've taken to calling it a home, haven't you? Or at least treating it like one? If that's true, then I firmly believe you should feel the same and not let something like that prevent you from trying your damndest to keep it safe.

Thanks for the peptalk, Ray, but it's hardly needed.

Radiant Garden is not my home, not really... but it was his, and I will protect it - I am protecting it - for as long as I can move. And when my body tries to give out, I'll stay on my feet by force of will alone.

If you think we're just hiding in the castle, you're as dead wrong as those monsters out there in the street. We have the high ground. We may be under siege, but their numbers are dropping a hell of a lot faster than ours. We will win.

Doesn't mean I'm not gonna gripe about stupid zombies of all things messing up my schedule.
