(Radiant Garden) Sorry for being out of touch

It was such a pain to try and use the computer for anything when I was a dolphin, and there were so many other more interesting things to do. Then when we were at the Star Market . . . well, you try chasing around a two and a half year old at the biggest festival/market in the known universe and tell me how much free time you had.

Anyway, we've made it safely home. Ashlyn enjoyed her adventure, though I'm more firm than ever on my stance of trying to keep her out of this sort of thing as much as possible. She's hard to keep up with at the best of times, and she's a particularly laid-back and well-behaved child. We did some shopping at the Star Market--she loves her new magic lantern, and I picked up a few odds and ends.

Now that we're home, we've started converting some of the extra space in Songbird's suite into a nursery, so I've been spending a lot of time covered in lavender paint. Not much else to report.

((OOC comment: You guys have no idea how cute it was yesterday! I walked by her class room and caught a glimpse of our Song sitting on the floor with one child in her lap and a few other crowded around her, reading to them. It was priceless.))

Parts of that Wanderer's Refuge place just had to be designed for sappy moments.

I'd love to say this is the second time I've helped paint a nursery, but since Jalen kept shooing me out of Eli's and I barely got the clouds done...yeah. I think my talents are better put to helping stock the room with stuffed animals anyway. ^^ Besides, Jalen's adorable splattered in paint.

Aria, you guys should come. The more the merrier! You can help me pick out cute stuff!

I don't remember ever helping paint a room. I think I may have when I was a kid but, can't seem to picture it at all... and I think the closest Seph has gotten to using a paintbrush is one of those basting brushes for cooking. He doesn't bat an eyelash at monster blood but, he wrinkles his nose at the idea of getting paint in his hair. |D I'd probably end up picking out stuffed dragons or something of the like. >.>;;

We can come by today. We haven't been busy or anything lately anyway.

Gotta make sure the kid's got a good assortment of companions for the eventual sheet forts!

Pffft. Fun mental image but, he just ties his hair back while he cooks. He only wears the apron for splattery things. >.>;

Jalen won't wear an apron - even a 'manly' one. You'd think he'd want to these days, what with Eli's aim improving...or maybe the kid's just getting lucky.
