I'll be honest, I didn't think I'd live through that.

I've got a teeny tiny little issue though. No, it's not the voice though I did figure out what that is was. Maybe I'm just being paranoid but paranoia has helped me more than it's hurt me these days.

You know, the segment in Fantasia where Chernabog is playing with the souls of the dead?

Given what happened, I am now mildly concerned about the state of my soul when I pass on since I can safely say I am not on good terms with that large and unpleasant Lord of Darkness. So I want to bounce around my options and get a few people to weigh in on this issue.

Options:

1. Become immortal
This is not something I'm really on board with since it's a pain in the ass to pull off and stuck with numerous downsides such as watching all of your friends die while you live on, outliving offspring, getting bored with existence, stuff like that. Who knows, I might change my mind and go talk shop with Xanatos or something.

2. Become immortal by becoming a summon?
I don't know how this would even work or if it's even possible. I get this feeling that the "summons" are a lot more than what we currently understand if my time with Quetzalcoatl was any indication.

3. Make a deal with one of the known other world Gods to end up in their afterlife kind of like some witness protection program for the departed
Olympus comes to mind, but the Underworld as ruled by Hades doesn't seem like such a great place to spend the rest of eternity and I'd probably get blackmailed into fighting Hercules which would suck. The Asgardians, which I'm pretty sure exist, look like a pretty good alternative. Valhalla would be awesome.

4. Appeal to the World Spirits for help
Too bad I already used my wish years ago.

Any more ideas? Preferably ones that don't involved submitting my heart or soul to a completely different dark power?

I thought which afterlife we went to depended on which world we came from and our beliefs. Or did I miss something?

So has Sora. Do you see him worrying?

I think you're worrying too much. Jeez, I'm starting to sound more like Sora...

Who said I was arguing? I just think you're worrying too much about this.

Sorry for not responding sooner. I've been having to think it over, and I'm not sure if I like any of your options. Becoming immortal seems to have caused a lot of problems for people in the past. If I understand correctly, it's a large part of what made Maleficent what she is.

I suspect the possibilities of becoming a summon are similar to what the Worlds once told Auria about becoming a world--I'm not sure it's something you can set out to do and accomplish, but something that happens if the circumstances are right.

Making deals with gods is a dangerous matter and I don't especially recommend it--especially with Hades. Depending on your actual religious beliefs, spending time in Narnia might get you enough of a connection to Aslan like Ryune had, so that you would probably end up there. But he's not a god you bargain with and I'm not sure the afterlife works like playing the odds.

Your fourth option has the least chance to backfire, though also few guarantees of success. The Worlds have never played us false, after all. I don't see how trying to reach them and ask about this subject could do any harm. It might not help, but it wouldn't be likely to make your situation worse.

Would have answered you sooner but I've been busy hunting down a certain Refugee. :T

1. Ehhh, the only ways I've seen of gaining immortality so far are to split your soul or... split your soul and share it with an immortal demon. I dunno about those options. :|

2. That would be freaking amazing, assuming it can be done. It would probably be like Mabry said, only happening in the right circumstances...

3. That can proooobably be arranged somehow? We'd just have to find a world where they actually have Valhalla, which I totally agree would be awesome.

4. I don't know if they would be capable of helping, though. Maybe you can talk to Aerith about it or something.
