We only got about four hours of sleep, but it's okay. It was worth it. We mostly just stared at him all night and stroked his hair and told him how glad we were to have him back. I asked Jalen if he thought we took Eli for granted and he said no, but I kinda wonder. It didn't feel like it, but then when he was gone...

Well.

I realized this morning that I didn't e-mail Gran and Granddad last night, or Will and the girls, so I did that right away. Sent them both video attachments so they could see for themselves that he's all right. Gran says she's gonna go out and buy him a whole bunch of stuff for the next time we visit. Granddad wants to know if we've 'deep-sixed the old bat' yet. My family amuses me to no end. He also thinks there would've been some serious biting going on if Callie had been here. My dog, by the way, seems to have made friends with a German Shepherd belonging to a guy who comes into the store a lot. Maybe he reminds her of Yasha.

Speaking of Yasha, now that we've found my kid, we need to track down Song. I'm not gonna feel completely better until I smack her for scaring the hell out of me us.

We'll be throwing another birthday party for Eli in about a week, maybe two, so I'll let you guys know when I'm sure. I'll have to bake him another cake, but it'll be totally different from the first one. Also, I think we can do without the candle this time. Yes, I'm paranoid.

Okay, I need to go back to cuddling my Ladybug and my husband.
