I think I'm going insane. Honestly. We look and think and nothing makes a goddamn bit of difference, he's gone and really? I don't think he's coming back. Awful thing for his own mother to say, isn't it? I should be moving heaven and earth to find him, and-

Even when I sleep I'm not. Not really deep asleep, I mean. I know about asking Aerith to help, but I'm too damn stubborn, so I don't, I just deal with the nightmares and sleepwalk and- Yeah, I didn't mention that, did I? I'm moving around in my sleep again. Not too far, just to the nursery to sleep in the rocking chair again. I remember the last time I did that, when Eli was-

You know what else is driving me batshit? Meddie's cat keeps following me around. I mean, I love cats, I really do, but I swear this cat seems to have no other purpose in life lately than trailing behind me mewling. He's too young to be in heat, right? I can't remember anymore. It's been ages since I had any boy cats.

Jalen took the crib apart for me and got rid of it. Didn't want me lighting the house on fire. I'm not stupid, I would've done it outside. He wants to go buy a new one tomorrow. I don't see the point. I'm not seeing the point to a lot of things.

Because we need even more possible places to search...

Has anyone considered Mirror Earth, by any chance?

And I have my own interpretation of the riddle, if anyone thinks it's worth considering. My guess is that "Closer than you think" refers to a world we've visited before, possibly one that's relatively close by. "Further than you know" might mean a part of that world that we just haven't explored before. Something like Mt. Olympus in Olympus Coliseum, for instance. Any other suggestions?

I'm going to go back to searching the castle here now. Hopefully, Aria's right about her having a "thing" for them. I'll shout if anything comes up.

We're going to find Eli. And we're going to make that bitch pay for what she's done. I know it.

[The sound comes on first, and all you can hear is excited squealing, followed by nonsensical babbling]

Guys, guys, oh my god. Seph, Emmy, I love the two of you, I really- Why isn't this on?

[There's a sharp rapping sound, then the video clicks on. Amy's standing in front of the camera, grinning so wide it looks like her face might freeze that way. She's holding a very familiar looking baby in her arms]

Look! Eli! He was the cat! He was Meddie's cat, and I can't believe I didn't see it but it's okay because he's home now- well, he was always home but he's human now, and it was the compass! Ray, the compass you got him, he touched it and the arrow spun around to point at the house and-

[She stops abruptly to plant kisses all over the baby again. Jalen can be heard off to the side, commenting on how she might possibly squish him if she holds on any tighter]

I don't care, he's home! He seems okay, we've only been up here a couple minutes, and I think Meddie was as shocked as I was...He was in her room, originally, but he got outside and hid by the porch, and finally came out when I called him Ladybug...I still want to kill that stupid hag. We're still doing that, right, killing her? And I need to take him to see Aerith, or let Mabry look at him, make sure he's not cursed still or something. But look, Eli!

[Laughing, Amy reaches over with Eli's small hand in hers and turns off the video]
