shadowchaser.livejournal.comGot an e-mail this morning from grandad complaining about the heatwave they're having in Heatherfield right now. He's annoyed because 'I've been on this planet for eighty-some years and the seasons have always been like clockwork, spring in late March, summer in June, autumn in September and winter in December, and here it's supposed to be nearly spring and it's hotter than a day in Hades!'
I'm trying not to laugh at how outraged he sounds, really. Luckily he and gran had air-conditioning installed last year, so they should be okay. Callie's still doing well, but apparently she picked up fleas somewhere. They're having real fun with that. Also, they've seen some monsters around - not many though - but grandad couldn't really describe them other than to say that some of them looked like they'd eaten one of gran's fruitcakes.
I'm sure she'll be really, really happy when he shares that opinion with her.
God, I'm so tired. Four hours sleep last night, despite going to bed early. Once the lights were out, I just couldn't drift off. My brain kept going, taking ideas and turning them over and upside down. Bleh. Shoulda stayed home from work. I just need to stay awake for another few hours, and I can go home and pass out. Yes. Must stay awake.
*thunk*
