[The laptop's sitting on the floor of the nursery so it gets a good view of Eli toddling around, playing with his toys. There's a solid thump as Amy sits on the floor beside it, then leans into the camera's view and grins]

Hey guys! Thought it was time for another 'look how Eli's grown' video! Isn't he cute?

[She moves back out of the way and Eli's playing with his blocks now, building a very uneven tower that keeps falling over. Actually, the blocks look more like a Jenga set that might have recently gone missing from a cupboard downstairs. Amy clears her throat, sounding embarrassed as she speaks]

Heh, sorry to anyone who's been looking for these, Eli kind of introduced his blocks to some raspberry jelly...don't ask me how, Jalen was the one watching him. Eli, say hi to everybody!

[Eli looks up from the blocks at the laptop and grins widely, waving a hand]

Hi 'bodies! [He turns his head suddenly and points to something near the door, just out of the camera's range]

The sun, mama! I want the sun!

He's talking about that enchanted forest globe I got at the Star Market. [Amy interprets as she fetches it for him. She sets a small, shining globe down on the floor and giggles as Eli snatches it up, hugging it]

Oh geeze, so adorable- Jalen!

[She goes to the door and leans out of it, calling for her husband. Eli, meanwhile, has dropped the globe on the floor. He watches it roll under his crib before crawling after it]

What'd you mean, you already know how cute he is? Get up here, Warrior Tuna!

[Several seconds pass before Eli wiggles his way back out from under the crib. He's not clutching the ball of sunlight and trees, however, but something reddish with a black cord]

Present! [Eli gets to his feet and goes to the laptop, letting the red stone wrapped in silver wire dangle freely]

Seph! I got a present! [He tries to push the stone against the screen, giggling. Amy comes back over, sounding slightly exasperated]

Can you believe daddy won't come up to- Eli, what're you playing w-

[She stops and falls silent. Eli by now has given up on trying to give his 'present' to Seph and is instead chewing happily on the cord]

Oh...Eli...

[Amy drops down next to him, pale. She reaches out, carefully trying to take the pendant from her son]

Lemme see that-

NO! [Eli squirms, trying to pull it away. He obviously likes his new toy]

Yes, Elijah. [She works at prying his little fingers free, but Eli lets out a shrill shriek]

Mine!

[Amy's fingers fall away, and she laughs suddenly, but it's hollow]

Well, looks like you've made my decision for me, haven't you? [She says, and reaches out to shut off the video]

Well, now that this particular batch of madness has been dealt with, I believe it's time I returned that sword you lent me, Seph.

Also, during this conflict, I realized that I still don't know much at all about Gummi Ships, or other alternative methods of transportation between worlds. I don't suppose that you'd be inclined to pass along a contact knowledgable in these areas?
