The Third District plaza of Traverse Town collapsed today, revealing a maze of ruins long hidden below the town's surface. Many people come to look in awe upon the discovery, but they are hesitant to explore. The Darkness is too prevalent, they say, which means the Heartless must be lurking around every corner. But maybe it isn't just some piece of history from a forgotten world. Maybe there's more to it. And who knows? Perhaps there's something down there, waiting to be discovered.

Reports of drownings in Andalasia are still coming in, moreso than ever. The lake where this is happening is now called "Davy's Lake" by some of the locals. This summon is still unclaimed. If you want it, please leave a comment.

Plants have started showing some signs of sickness lately, and no matter what anyone does to help, they just won't get better.

A new species of Nobodies have begun to show up lately. Unlike most Nobodies, they lack Organization XIII's emblem. They're the usual silver color, but are of average height, about five feet, and have a formidable muscle mass to them, despite being just as flexible as any other Nobody. The magic defense of this new type is fairly average, with a strong resistance to Fire, but much less so to Blizzard. Picks are their weapons of choice, the tips supplemented with a clear, sharp material - crystal, maybe? Diamond? Or perhaps glass?

They are the Miners, and their attack is fierce and relentless. They'll be quick to turn the fight against you in any way possible, so be cautious. If those picks can plow through rock, just imagine what they could do to you.

Shotlock attacks are now available to Refugees, should they choose to attempt it. Only the higher level spells will work, however; lower levels will simply fizzle and die if used in this manner. Higher spells, namely the the third and fourth tiers, can spread the power among many smaller projectiles much easier.

D-Links are also a new thing! Anyone with a Wayfinder will be capable of forging such Links with anyone they meet, friend or foe or mere acquaintance. When a D-Link is used, the one holding the Wayfinder gains some of the abilities of the other. The secondary level is the same way, but has higher-level abilities and can only be achieved through repeated use of the D-Link. What abilities are used in the D-Link will be up to the one with whom the Link is made, not the Wayfinder's owner, though collaboration is acceptable and, in fact, encouraged.

Speaking of, Wayfinders are available to Refugees, as well, to allow for more D-Link fun! The Wayfinders themselves are easy to acquire or make. The enchantment that allows D-Links to occur, however, is another thing entirely. Aqua could do it for you, if she isn't too busy. Maybe Merlin or Yen Sid could, as well. A merchant at Star Market should be just as capable of the spell, should you find the right one. Just be sure to ask politely, or lay down your munny, if you want one.

Aqua is still up for apping, by the way.

RANDOM POLL GUYS

Seriously I am just curious.

What would you guys think of introducing any FF13 characters into the game? Not the world itself, just a character or two. And if we did introduce someone from the game, who would you prefer it to be?

Question applies to all other FF games, too, there's just been some scattered discussion about FF13 that makes me wanna know. Also, whether they actually are brought into WR would have to be approved by mods, so idk if any of this would actually happen.

LIKE I SAID, JUST CURIOUS

Also, State of the Game is forthcoming. My apologies for the delay, and any more that may come.

Since everyone else is making Valentine's Day single folks plans, here's my proposal.

Brendan and I will sit for Eli on Monday night, so you and Jalen can do whatever--go out, stay in, get in some grown-up time, whatever.

Then you guys can sit for Ashlyn on Tuesday night while Brendan and I do the same.

Sound good?

So, I just looked at the calendar and realized that Valentine's Day is on Monday. Since this pretty much sucks for those of us who are single, I propose that we go and have a Ladies' Night Out on that day. Drinking, dancing, partying, whatever. Just for us single girls. Any takers?

Edit: Okay, nix the "girls only" part. Single guys can come too, in the name of Singles Awareness Day. ^^;
