So, without further ado, here's this week's top rumor chart!
The most recent update on the AF vs Navy fight for who get's jurisdiction off world says that the Navy has the edge. They want to try and field big-ass gummiships capable of operating for the longterm, with minimal support, using them as mobile command centers and bases. This is getting some support behind it, despite how enormously expensive it would be to build these things. I think the proposed name for this type of craft is Waltz-class. I think, anyway.
Next up, the Navy's proposed Waltz class. Think something like Space Battleship Yamato, and you'll be on the right track. For those of you who've not heard of it, linkage to an appropriate youtube video will be provided.

And wrapping up this week's news, Colonel McDowell, who's spearheading the organization of the AF's attempts to get g-space jurisdiction is coming to McGowan AFB to consult with the base commander about logistics concerning interplanetary travel. There's also a 'briefing' planned about getting Airmen excited about the new role the base could be playing if we get jurisdiction. There's usually at least a little Q&A planned for these things, so if any of you have any questions you want me throw out there, toss em in. I might not get called on, and I probably won't get the chance to ask more than one question, but hey. This is an interesting opportunity.
Anywho, It's late/early for me. That means bedtime. Catch you all later folks.
