The current prevailing theory we have regarding this illness is that it is attacking mana, correct?
According to the book I've been reading, everyone has mana, regardless of whether he or she knows magic. The only difference between mages and... Can be called civilians? Either way, the only difference this book reports is that mages can actually employ the mana, forming it into a natural element and putting it to use through a sort of magical manipulation.
If this illness really is attacking mana like we have hypothesized, why wouldn't it attacking everyone indifferently? Why only those who use magic? It isn't as if a civilian's mana is inactive, so that can't be it, either; the book says that it is put to different uses, although it does not say what...
Could anyone direct me to any other books on magic available? Is there a section in the library? I'll take all the help I can get; we'll have to do a lot more research before we can come to any reasonable conclusion about this.
