Gosh, we seem to be getting a lot more 'monster extermination' quests than usual over here.

Alright, clearly these things are leaking out of a Final Fantasy-esque place. Can we get a comprehensive list of what everyone is seeing here?

Coeurls, Flans, Goblins, Cactoids, Malboros, Tonberries... that's what's been reported so far anyway. There are probably others.

Malboros and Cactoids on Earth,
Tonberries and Coeurls in Radiant Garden,
Goblins wherever Fox is,
Flan wherever Ash is.

No magic.
El Ninoesque weather in the Pridelands and Ancient Egypt.

At a very random guess, I might say that... portals opened up and spewed monsters from Final Fantasy worlds out across the multiverse while disrupting the flow of magic and weather. This no doubt has some link to the fact that a couple Final Fantasy worlds have recently opened their borders.
Again, very random guess.

Merlin's been a little evasive, but the magic issue might have something to do with his recent duel with Mim. If that's the case, Mim probably thinks it's funny as hell...

Otherwise, I have no idea about the rest. Also, I'm in the hangar. I only saw one goblin, but they tend to swarm, so most likely, there's more somewhere...

Ah. Well then, maybe we can exclude the magic from that equation.

So goblins on Radiant Garden also.

Perhaps it was something like the Lunar Cry from Final Fantasy VIII. Sure, raining monsters sounds kind of absurd, but it would have canon origins.

Yeah, it seems like the only real bearing magic has on the situation is that some of these monsters are harder to fight wihtout it.

There are Coeurls in the Pridelands as well. Sora and Co. are there and Roxas had... a bit of a run in... with a couple of the freaky kitties. I think he got it a bit worse than he's letting on.

Mind your own business.

[identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com 2009-02-08 07:19 am (UTC)(link)
Be nice, Roxas. We're only worried about you.

And if you keep up the attitude, little brother, I might just give you a lecture about friendship. I'll make it as good as the ones I used to give Axel. Pissed him off royally, but it worked. Ask Eric. :p

Under the circumstances, that's the nicest I'm getting.

And it's nice that anyone cares and all that, but it really isn't anyone's business.

[identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com 2009-02-09 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
...

Meh.
Fair enough. I've lost the will to argue.

So what's up, other than Coeurls and various other nasties? You're not grouching more than necessary, are you?

[personal profile] thirteenth_brat 2009-02-09 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
Meh, there's not a whole lot of monsters here, but the natives don't really know what to do. The only one that has any idea about snow is Simba and that's only because of traveling with Sora before. Not that that helps. The herds are moving off because of the cold. The lions may have to follow.

[identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com 2009-02-09 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
Have you noticed anything unusual besides the snow and the monsters? Anything that might be linked to either one? I'm just wondering, why the weather? Monsters and magic are one thing, but weather changes, and only on certain worlds... it seems quite bizarre.

So, what would cause such a change? If we could answer that, even if there were multiple possibilities, we could at least get on the right track.

[personal profile] thirteenth_brat 2009-02-09 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
Not really. Whoever or whatever did it might have moved on already.

I want to suggest that it could have something to do with the world's Heart. I have no idea what else it could be.

[identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com 2009-02-09 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
I'm just stumped, honestly. And you know me, that's not normal.
When Sora killed Xemnas and we made the wishes, I thought everything was fixed to a degree. Not perfectly, of course, but each of the worlds was supposed to be a little better off than before. What could pop up and disrupt everything so quickly? Is it just random coincidence that this is happening now, or was something put off balance? You'd think the worlds would have known something, at least.

I wonder if we could talk to them again. At least one of them. Radiant Garden, maybe...

Maybe Aerith can do it.

[personal profile] thirteenth_brat 2009-02-09 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Well, you're going to be on her world, right? You can ask. Since... y'know, we're kind of stranded here at the moment.

[identity profile] songbird9.livejournal.com 2009-02-09 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
Right. I will.

Keep an eye out, while you're there. Knowing the sort of messes Sora gets into, it's not unlikely that you'll run into more trouble before your little stint as a lion cub in a winter wonderland is over. I think you're a bit more... contemplative than Sora is, so if anything happens, don't take it at face value. Anything out of the ordinary might be a clue.

Mysteries are meant to be solved.

I think I saw a Mu. Not much of a threat, but it's here.

I blame Dissidia :|

Some kind of giant bugs in the garden.
