It works! It works it works it works! For like seven seconds, nothing! Not a friggin' twitch! FEAR ME MONSTERS, FOR I HAVE STOP AMMO AND A SLINGSHOT.
...Ummm, yeah. So I had enough for candy after I dropped everything off with the Moogles and explained what I wanted, and they said to come back Friday but I had my hands full with some stuff, so I only managed it this morning. Then after I got it I wandered down toward the bailey with the intent of trying it out on something, and I ran into a Flan.
Thankfully the ammo worked, and I bailed. ...Okay, I got far away and counted how long the spell lasted before I took off. I got home and tackled Jalen, and he was happy about the ammo working but Not Amused about the fact that I went off looking for trouble without him. I wouldn't have hung around if I'd run into something really big! I'm not a total idiot.
I've had to sit through two lectures already. He looks like he's considering tying us together. I tried to bribe him with my leftover candy, but he's not swayed by coconut-covered chocolate fish. Damn.
