Aerith's not the only one having disturbing dreams. I had this...thing, last night, and I told Jalen about it this morning because he wouldn't leave me alone about it, but it's probably nothing. Stress and anxiety and worry over Josiah, you know? I mean, I wouldn't take it seriously if I actually thought about it, but that's the problem with me. I usually listen to my instincts but I don't want to this time and-

For cripes sake. I don't remember much of the dream, but there was blood and darkness and old ruins. Doesn't seem like a specific threat, does it? But when I was telling Jalen about it, I mentioned how none of us could outrun the blood. None. Sounds like I'm referring to a lot of people, doesn't it? Except there were only three in the dream - me, the guy that started everything, and another guy. Jalen caught it and took it to mean that this involved everyone here. I dunno. I just-

We've all been through a lot, and it's not like we're complete idiots, but still...everybody be careful.

I haven't really had any weird dreams lately. But maybe that's because I'm going to sleep around 3:00 AM...

If you want to. I've already got one, but it was made for helping with lucid dreaming. Back when Mr. Grump wasn't quite so accessible.

Why're you staying up that late? Is Will back to driving you nuts?

Oh, it's not Will. It's just work. Lots and lots of paperwork to fill out. Plus, I have a habit of watching Lost episodes late at night...

I'd agree that probably is the problem, except I haven't used it since New Years. It's not even hanging up, it's wrapped up in a dresser drawer. This nonsense is all me. Bleh. Thanks for yours, though.

Gah. How d'ya stand it? I'd have died of boredom already. Heh, I was never able to get into Lost. Too easily distracted. But you know that. >_>;

It may not be of any use, but do you remember what the people with you looked like?

Sorta. The boy that was- I want to say tainted, because it feels right - had dark hair. Black, I think. Kinda curly, which is why I'm blaming it on anxiety about Josiah.

The other one had light brown hair about to his shoulder blades, and that's all I remember.

You called one of them 'the guy that started everything', but I didn't see any other mention of that in your post. Was that the tainted boy?

Yeah. The darkness just swept up over him so we couldn't see his face. From the ground up, it just covered all of him. His face was the last to disappear.

Dreams again...

As far as anything can be familiar where dreams are concerned.

The variables are many, but not random. Ordinary dreams are controlled by the subconscious. My experiments with dreamcatchers before I had any mystical control over dreams is evidence of that. Dreams are also connected on some level, some fluid plane that stretches between the minds of the dreaming. Aaron was a dream who gained his own sense of self and could move freely over that plane, though he had some special connection to Ryuu and stayed in her dreams most of the time. I'd suspect that she was the one who dreamed him originally.

The Dreaming, on the other hand, was not directly related to that kind of dream, but did have some degree of similarity which allowed the City to appear first in dreams. We don't have all the answers, but I think that what we do know would be enough to at least give a clue if dreams become a major factor again.

Ah yes..boredom. This is why I have Lost. Though, now that I think of it, time-traveling islands and weird science have nothing on the Dreaming and the universe as we know it...

Time...traveling...islands. Dunno why that surprises me, considering the other stuff. ^^;
