There's something resembling a deep breath--not that she can really breathe in her current state, but it's purely habit while she gets ready to speak.

So, what do you guys make of this? I can't be sure if it's... if it's real or not, but if it is, I think it sounds like Josiah's running out of time. I want to do everything I can to save him, but we need to get a plan together, and fast.

It's a little late for us to talk about this now, so I want to try to get together in person sometime tomorrow or the next day if at all possible. The sooner, the better. I know it's going to be tricky, what with us being two-thirds of the see no/hear no/speak no monkey trio, a magic book, and one normal girl, and Song still being in Gummi Space last time I checked, but I want to talk about what this could mean, and what our options are.

The usual pages are flapping limply. It just sounds tired and worried now.

We can't let him down now...

I'm on my way back to Radiant Garden, actually. And I agree, we do need to talk about this. There's got to be something we can do. I'd even encourage taking drastic measures, as long as it wasn't anything completely suicidal.

So, since I can't talk right now... can I write in you?

Okay, that's good to know. And while I don't know about drastic measures, it may have more to do with my equating "drastic" with "not really thought out." I'm willing to listen to whatever we can come up with, though.

I... I don't know. I'm sorry, but it looks like whatever goes into my stream of consciousness ends up as text in the book. I've been really reluctant to let anyone read it--er, me--because of it. If we don't have any other option, I guess we could give it a shot, but could you try to get a composition book or something first? I don't mean to be unhelpful, but... sorry.

At this point, drastic probably means anything that Calum would define as interfering, since he did say he'd kill the next person who did...
But I was thinking about dangerous situations in general. Now that I think about it, though, Josi said something about a talisman? I know he's mentioned it before...

It's okay. I was half joking anyway, and I didn't know. I'll find something.

Ugh, true... I think if we stepped out in front of Calum, it might count as interference at this point. But I see what you mean. And that talisman's as good a place as any to start.
